Spud Guard® 2 EC OFFERS:
- CONVENIENT APPLICATION: Spud Guard® 2 EC is a proprietary cold water emulsified formulation designed to be injected right into the cold-water flow of the pre-pack wash system. Highly soluble, Spud Guard® 2 EC suits immediate injection into flowing water. Spud Guard® 2 EC offers a unique formulation that reduces scale deposits and build-up in lines and nozzles.
- ENERGY SAVINGS: Spud Guard® 2 EC’s unique cold-water formulation is designed to work in water as cold as 2°C.
- EXCELLENT COVERAGE: Spud Guard® 2 EC contains a surfactant to help disperse the active ingredient uniformly over the surface of the potato. Uniform coverage means higher absorption through the eyes of the potato, resulting in improved sprout control and higher uptake using less chemical.
HOW DOES Spud Guard® 2 EC WORK?
Spud Guard® 2 EC is formulated from Chlorpropham (Isopropyl N-[3-chlorophenyl] carbamate.) CIPC is the market leader in sprout suppression.
APPLICATION
Spud Guard® 2 EC is usually applied as a 1% emulsion spray on the drying table after the potatoes have been washed. Automatic proportioners or injection systems should be set to spray evenly as rollers move the potatoes. Rolling or tumbling movement improves coverage compared to flat conveyor belts. Consult the label for more information.
One liter of Spud Guard® 2 EC will treat up to 25 tonnes of potatoes. Spud Guard® 2 EC is available in 5-liter containers, 20-liter pails, and 110-liter drums. Spud Guard® 2 EC remains liquid in transit and does not freeze in low temperatures.
